This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Michael Patrick Mac Queen who was born in Woodhaven, New York on July 03, 1962 and passed away suddenly on September 22, 2008 at the age of 46. We will always remember him and forever hold him in our hearts. It is said when your parents die, you lose your past; when your spouse dies, you lose your present; and when your child dies, you lose your future. However, when your sibling dies, you lose your past, your present and your future. After all, the relationship between siblings is potentially the longest of their lives.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal

If we could have a lifetime wish and one dream that could come true, we would pray to God with all our hearts just to see and speak to you. A thousand words won’t bring you back, we know because we’ve tried and neither will a million tears, we know because we’ve cried You’ve left behind our broken hearts and precious memories too, but we’ve never wanted memories, we only wanted you.
The Broken Chain We little knew that morning; That God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly; In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; You did not go alone. For part of each of us went with you; The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you; You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken; And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one; The chain will link again.
Rest in Peace Michael, fly high with the Angels
You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray he will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and relive yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him only that he is gone, or you can cherish the memory and live on. You can close your mind be empty and turn your back or you can do what he'd want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
If Tomorrow Starts Without Me...
If tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand. And said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind; All those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye, For all my life , I'd always thought I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, It seemed almost impossible, That I was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, The good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared, And all the fun we had. If I could relive yesterday, Just even for a while, I'd say goodbye and kiss you And maybe see you smile. But then I fully realized, That this could never be, For emptiness and memories, Would take the place of me. And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, My heart was filled with sorrow. But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me, From His great golden throne. He said,"This is eternity, And all I've promised you." Today your life on earth is past, But here life starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, But today will always last, And since each day's the same way, There's no longing for the past. You have been so faithful, So trusting and so true. Though there were times you did some things, You knew you shouldn't do. But you have been forgiven, And now at last you're free. So won't you come and take my hand, And share my life with me? So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.....

Four Candles for You
by Unknown
The first candle represents our grief. The pain of losing you is intense; it reminds us of the depth of our love for you. The second candle represents our courage; to confront our sorrow, to comfort each other, to change our lives. The third candle we light in your memory; for the times we laughed, the times we cried, the times we were angry with each other, the silly things you did, the caring and joy you gave us. The fourth candle we light for our everlasting love. We light this candle that your light will always shine.

Please feel free to add any pictures you may have, a story you'd like to share or just light a candle for Michael to help all of us keep his memory alive. Thank you.
